One Response to Hon. Edward Henry George Gunter ‘E.H.G.G.’ Hay, St. Andrews (South)

  1. Sessie Loubob says:

“– sp. CHALIFOUX, Angelique ‘Ann’. Born to Joseph CHALIFOUX (whose mother, Josephine, by family lore, was a Choctaw slave at Quebec); sister of Isabella CHALIFOUX, who married Francis HERON, HBC chief trader (with journal), 16th July, 1835.”

First off this Joseph Chalifoux who’s mother was a Choctaw slave died in Quebect at the age of 22 years. Couldn’t be Angelique nor Isabella’s father.
Second Joseph Chalifoux’s mother name was Julienne not Joesphine.
