  4. Mary F. Steinhoff says:

In an entry for Andrew McDermot Banntyne, born Aug 23 , 1898, a nickname is given as ” Mark”. He was , in fact , known as “Mack”.He was the second son of William banatyne and Mary Jane Logan.

I am intrested in the the William Banatyne line as my niece is married to a great-grandson of William and Mary Jane.

Herbert Morris Bannatyne S/B Herbert Morice. He always went by Morice. He married Lena Kinrade. My sister married one of their sons. ( They had at least 9 children that I can think of.)

  6. Jill Paskewitz says:

I found Lena Bannatyne’s obit in the Winnipeg Free Press Passages. This is an easy lookup for you. She died June 7, 2000. All children of Morice and Lena are listed. It says that she was a resident of the Charleswood area for 79 yrs., so since 1921. Not sure what year they were married, but they celebrated April 21st with my parents for many years, as they had the same anniversary. Their son Bob ( Robert ) is now over 80.
